After 16years in Mt>Isa the cook and i are looking at moving to the Cairns northern beaches area, anyone got any advise on the following
-good areas to live
-how hard is it to get work
-4wd clubs
we are probably going to rent for 6-12months,a townhouse or a unit
Im a Fitter/welder with a heap of ohs national tickets also a qualified butcher, the wife licenced realestate sales person,property manager,
teacher aid,supermarket experience we are not lazy and dont expect
trouble getting work we hope

this is probably not the right place for this but would like some info from
locals

I knocked around cairns for 4 years up until yasi hit last year. i relocated back to brisbane for work reasons. miss cairns like crazy though! best climate and location for lifestyle. i lived with my wife at redlynch valley and palm cove on the northern beaches. still have property up there and plan to return sometime soon. the job market was tougher for some but if your willing to work there is always a job somewhere. We were both teachers and still are but recieved higher positions in brisbane and the goldcoast hence the move.

Hey mate, I'd live in edge hill if you're working in Cairns, or the beaches are nice, even nicer if you don't have to commute during peak hours. I'd love to meet some cairns crew for a wheel sometime soon too.
