As some me be aware, I have been living in Thailand as my base camp for the last 12 months. In this time I have covered more than 30'000km by bike through a large portion of Thailand and Laos, but my time is nowhere near over yet, the bucket list gets things crossed off as quickly as they are added.
I had been riding around on a Kawasaki Versys 650 for most of it, but changed off onto a Ducati Hyperstrada 821cc recently, which lasted me all of 1 month before getting ploughed into on my way to Bangkok for my Thai language class. This saw me off the road for over a month with fluid on my knee and a dampened spirit.
Well insurance has paid me out, and the new Ducati is downstairs in preparation for the next adventure.
My next big boarder crossing adventure is pened in for November, when I will be riding back into the north of Thailand, to Chiang Rai, to meet up with some guys and head across into Laos again, then crossing into China for 2 weeks with a guide. This trip will see elevation of 4800mtrs and temps in the -5 range.
Here's a few randoms from the last 12 mths
Why the hell am I doing this, because it's something that's has always been an itch that needed scratching. You only get one life!!

Riding back down to Phuket and across into Malaysia this time
Riding and camping on top of Phetchabun moutain
