Default more supercharger talk

with all the talk of blowers lately the main ones being Sprintex and Ripp, has anyone looked into the Magnusun? I know a few performance shops in aus are using them on commonwhores and making good power and reliability. Thoughts?

Don't go the Sprintex route till they get it sorted..... well made but the tuning isn't there yet.

With low boost and bad tuning its not really a contender.

Down the track..... probably.

have been chatting with Magnuson in the states for a while on this, they havent fitted one to a RHD JK yet but i believe in the batch of Superchargers they are doing at the moment they will be doing RHD kits,
Ken Nunn once heavily involved with Harrop Engineering will be looking after the Australian Market for Magnuson, i have been in frequent contact with him and he is currently in the States at the Magnuson factory, copy of latest reply from two days ago from Ken below,

Hi Ashley …
I am currently at Magnuson in California and working to ensure Australia gets some of the current batch being built. I should have the commitment & shipping schedule this week.

will keep all in the loop when i know more

Has the tuning been sorted on your Sprintex? I have seen in a number of posts that Mightymouse is still having trouble. Is this something that Sprintex is currently working on? It seems to be dragging on a bit. I have also been considering one of these, but it needs to be as reliable as the naturally aspirated engine before I will make a commitment. It would be hard to go past the Ripp superchargers due to the sheer volume that they have installed successfully over the years.

I was at Carine Custom Exhaust in Osborne Park... and they were telling me about someone with the Spritex that was being re-mapped due to issues (dont know what issue)...

RIPP is a tried and tested product... I am a fan of using tested products, sure you still get gremlins, but it is a jeep! not saying the other brands are no good, but do LOTS of reasurch before you choose a brand to buy, then talk to the people who sell it and ask them for references to people running the system... chat to them, then do more research online for that brand...
