i bought the kingchrome socket T55 from bunnings, cut the torx head shorter, socket end shorter and used a 3/8 breaker bar with an extension pipe on it. soaked the prick in about half a can of WD40 the night before. It sounded like I snapped a bolt when the locktite finally let go.

well, you can always let a mechanic bend his tools on it.
Other than that he should be able to do in under 30 minutes. Costs of labour do not outweigh costs of quality T60 and quality wrench/breaker bar. Seen plenty of Sidchromes and Kinchromes bent on this job. But if you like fabbing your own tools, go for it.
The one that came out with a 3/8 wrench as someone mentioned: that was likely not the first time that adaptor housing came off, lol

Mine came out with a Kinchrome 3/8" Torx bit in my Bahco socket too
