get ya winch from the usa (quadratec):) and locca here :)
hehe you wil save at least a grand on the winch after freight i did ;)

Talking to the guy at ARB the other day and due to the US dollar, their winch prices have dropped..

I think the Warn M8000 was ~$1k as an example.

The Warn 9000lb with built in overhead solenoid was ~$1700

nice of them to drop there price finally i got told less than 6 weeks ago the price was $1750 for the m8000 (the aussie dollar was at 0.88 us then) i got it from quadratec for $531 usd & approx $180 for freight winch got here in 4 days via fedex, while i was there i asked re the diff guards for the d44 and there price was dble the usd price for the same part thats made here in australia ?????????

the guy that installed all my gear has had his for about 4 yrs and used it often swears by it its old style motor not all fancy elec crap to bugger up hehe

What type of driving do you do most?

Longer remote solo touring type trips?
Winch.

Shorter group trips?
Lockers.
