Turn key, no crank. Shift control module or something worse?
Hi guys,
Bloody GC let me down this morning, turned the key and wouldn't crank. Well it actually cranked for a second then shut down. It was like the neutral start switch had failed. I ran a diagnostic and got the usual suspects, including a TCM fault or 2, so I think I am on the right track.
Has anyone else had this fault and what did it end up being?

Not trying to be smart, but you check battery charge and load?

Fair comment mate. Battery is new and HD.
I have checked the fusible link and the starter relay. I think I may have a dead starter.

With the key in the ignition trying to start it by turning the key hard right in crank position. When my ignition switch died I could get it to crank doing that.

I have replaced the ign switch some time ago.
I have confirmed that I have +12v at the relay on start, and that the relay is working. Either the inhibitor switch intervenes after the relay and it is affecting the start, or the starter motor is stuffed.
I am hoping the latter.
