Default My Teardrop trailer

My main build thread was done years ago and is in the fabrication section but I thought I'd update it here now.

Yesterday and today I finished my roof bars and put in a lower profile roof hatch. These are in preparation for the rooftop tent which I'll put on later today. I also repainted the roof, rear kitchen hatch and front panels as after 3 years they needed a freshen up as the original paint had flaked off the epoxy underneath it in a few places.

Looks like it needs a wash as well.

Since I'm running my road wheels on it for the trip to Coffs I also went to Repco and picked up the drop hitch they have on sale for the next few days and stuck that on the jeep in the hope the camper will be a little closer to level

Cheers
Steve

A few pics, I didn't set it all up but over the weekend I'll setup the annex and awing etc and put the tent up properly with the extension over the ladder and all that.

Cheers

And the awning that goes on the other side, I tested this last week before I repainted the roof etc, just need to bolt it back on to the racks.

Cheers

Yeah I saw those hitches in the latest Repco catalogue for $108. Same one is available at Superdear Auto for $179.... Need to pick one up myself.

More stuff for the roof, this will mount behind the RTT and my existing 30W panel will stay mobile to make the best of the last bit of sun. A total of 200W now, and the best bit, the panel was free

Cheers
