Question Patriot + lift= Compass?

Hi Guys,
I currently have a TJ Wrangler that I kinda "stole" from the wife (bought it for her and claimed it for my self!)
She's now said I need to buy her a new car and is looking at either a KK Cherokee or a Compass. From what I've read alot of the Compass parts fit the Patriot. Is the Compass a lifted Patriot under the skin?
There is no Compass section on AJOR to ask

Patriot is closer to a true 4x4, the patriot has optional low range, the compass does not.
They are built on the same chassis (mono body) with the same engines and boxes. Pretty cool little things but I'd prefer a KK, your wallet might not

A Compass and a Patriot are the same animal with different skins.
Same from the waist down. No low range in either and 2.4 in 4wd and a 2.0 in 2wd.

Look for the my14 to have a new, better IMHO CVT trans.

Thanks guys,
She's just gonna use it as a highway haller for the trips to and from Perth (600Km each way) Wrangler is a bit thursty and noisey with the soft top. She likes the bigger size of the Cherokee Sport but for the same price can have the Compass Limited
