I run 285x70x17 coopers on stock rims... No scrubbing or rubbing unless I am disconnected and then it's ever so slight ... Yes spacer or new rims would be so much better!!

Craig what set of Coopers are you running? ST Max or STT?
Gidday Craig this might sound like a stupid question and sorry to get off track but where did you get that tyre size I have been trying for 6months spoke with local dealer no go even spoke with cooper tyres qld office number no go have been running cooper Sts have got approx 85000km out of them but they are starting to get a bit thin was going to go with the ST maxx but can't seem to get them Oh yea running 2.5 inch lift Cheers
