Hi all, anyone know of any 17" rims, other than AEV, that will fit under the the standard flares? I'm looking at putting either 32" or 33" tyres under it...

Any 12.5 inch wide tyre will stick out of the guards on an AEV JK (+10mm offset) rim. The only way to keep a tyre that wide under the guards is to mount it on the stock rims, but they are too narrow, so that's not legal either. A possible workaround is to use the WK (+25mm offset) rim, which has a bigger offset but you will get rubbing at full lock and articulation.

It's a shame that all the aftermarket guards currently available are so ugly otherwise upgrading would be a no brainer.

Allied make one or two different sets of Pos 20 rims. I have Pos12mm rims with 32's (265/70/17) and these are right on the edge. The tread is under the flares, but the side wall hangs out a little, so 33"s would not fit under the guards here. 285/70/17 on a pos 20 rim would probably be about the same.

Wait. So a 285/70/17 on a stock rim is not legal? I was just about to fit these.

This tyre is 11.5 inches wide and is legal to be fitted on the stock rim and will fit under the stock flares.

It's the 12.5 inch wide tyres that are an issue.

You might find 35's or 37's that are narrower than 12.5" wide but most are at least that width.
