Wink Took the day off sick...

...and the missus surprised me by coming home for lunch Ooo, she not happy when she found me under the Jeep, instead of being in bed. I work for myself so no sick pay

Anyway, I finally finished the rocksliders last night and whacked them on this morning. Now I can relax just that little bit more when listening to rocks and logs scraping under-beneath.

The gap between the right hand bar and the bottom of the doors is only 7mm. A bit too close than I wanted and planned for. When wheeling, and the GC is all stuck and twisted in a ditch or so, it may make it hard to open the drivers door The gap may close and hit. Guess I'll find out and I can fix it one night if I have to, because being able to use the diver's door whenever you want is handy.

And, and, and, I bought a parts bitch WJ from a mate over the road. His girlfriend cooked the engine. I could rebuild it maybe, everything else is good and he just had a fair few exy things replaced (just before she cooked it), like driveshaft, axles etc. It's the 4.0, and I have the 4.7 but they still share enough to make it worth the 1500 for it (I think, looking at spare prices like mirrors, doors and rear glass and stuff). I might hock off the dedicated 6 parts in here? Dunno yet.

Thanks AV8. The paint color is lighter than I wanted, and the fab work I did on these sliders is probably a bit C grade, thanks to my cheapie bender and I lost patience with getting the settings on the MiG perfect, but they'll take a bashing.

I already put a dint in the right side sill toward the back, before I put these on

I thought about making a few more as I went along, but, nope, I was too lazy

Sorry kalais.

I could take them off, make a jig, and make some more but I can't even remember how much I paid for the steel.

Aaawww Hoobz, you've made me jealous again!
Any thoughts of doing up a little build thread with dimensions/recipe for those less technically minded but equally keen silver WG drivers. Pretty please?
Also jealous you are getting out and playing, still waiting for new C-V to arrive before I'm game enough to put any pressure on the tracks!
