Had (still have 😐 the same problem. Was told rear main seal was weeping but once they got the gearbox off it turned out to the front main seal in the auto box (2012 jk). Now have to argue with them as it's out of warranty that they either never fixed the problem or it didn't work.

How the hell was transmission fluid confused with engine oil?
It's inconvenient, but my local dealer is a good egg and looks after me. I've had a few more issues, but they are always willing to help me out with warranty issues. I've even gotten a loan car every time I've had a warranty issue. Things may change in a year when it wears out, but for now it's all good.
