Default ZG coils for lift?

As the title says, I an looking for a cheap way to get the front of my jeep up, at the moment I have 2" spacers, but dont really like them, I have seen 2" raised coils for a ZG on eBay, what kind of lift could I expect by using those coils?

Am I better off just buying coils for an XJ?

I'm not concerned about the rear as I am making a bastard pack out of a second set of XJ leaves I have

Thanks in advance, Dave

Even 2" raised coils usually only provide around 40 -45mm of lift. Also depends on added weight such as winch, bullbar, etc. I have used both and found the aftermarket (tough dog) extended coils a bit harsh compared with stock coils + spacers (no bar / winch). The stiffer coils may suit future bar &/or winch, battery, etc. As soon as I find a bullbar at the right price I intend fitting my winch and that should 'hopefully' bring everything back into balance.

Mitch, did 3.5" ZJ coils give you more lift than 3.5" or did it give you the specified 3.5" lift.

If ZJ coils will give me the same amount of lift as XJ coils than I may as well just use XJ coils

ZJ Coils do give a little more lift than the same XJ coils but not a heap more, maybe enough to compensate for any extra weight up front.

Cheers
Steve

Thanks steve, so they would basically be heavy duty coils for the front of the XJ

I just got a set of Kings. I paid $145 total. They gave me about 40mm lift and are stiffer. The XJ has stock shocks and 5 leaf rears. Since installing the Kings it is handling better. I toyed with the idea of Grand springs but found out they would not be that great. I am pretty happy with the Kings and for 145 I can not complain.
