Default Lockers for my JKU

Hiyall

I'm looking at getting a selectable rear locker for my MY16 JKU Sport and so far, my 3 options seem to be the Eaton E-locker, ARB Air Locker and TJM Pro Locker. The only other selectable locker that I know of is a Yukon Zip Locker but I haven't been able to find one in Australia. I am not interested in LSD or auto-lockers either - they just won't work for how I use my Jeep on- and off-road.

My questions are...
Are there any selectable lockers that I am missing?
Does anyone have experience with the TJM Pro Locker?

I want to get something in the next month - does anyone know of a decent deal on a locker or someone selling something second hand?

Cheers!

I’d probably just get one of the first two. Pay for what you get and none of them cheap. There really aren’t any other choices I would consider. No such thing as a cheap deal on air or e lockers in my experience. There should be trillions of these things in the wreckers but you rarely find any on the secondhand market, and when you do they are bloody expensive.

Go for an ARB or a TJM, they're both excellent. Avoid the Eaton, they unlock momentarily when the wheel changes rotational direction - the bloke from AllOffRoad did a great youtube vid on it.

I will second the steering clear of the E-locker. Iv got ARB lockers and they are great. The factory E-locker is a bit better than the eaton if you can find one.

The TJM would be the best but they are almost double the price.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

After a bit more research, I pulled the trigger on ARB air lockers, high output compressor and tyre inflation kit for $2560 although stock is only coming early December.
The TJM Pro lockers kit cost around $3580, don't have tyre inflation ability and few of the local diff & gearbox shops had experience with them.
E-lockers around $3010 before shipping and regardless of the way that they lock and unlock, their reliability wasn't enough to justify the extra cost to me.

I wouldn't knock e-lockers. Will 1/4 a turn while engaging back into forwards really be enough to throw you off a track? Very doubtful.

Yup I agree and it hasn't been an issue for any of the people who I wheel with who run them for the slow rock crawling that we like to do. Any type of locker is more about having the assurance of wheels turning instead of waiting for slip before the BLD kicks in but the type of wheeling we do is very rarely backwards and forwards where it would cause an E-locker to lock and unlock even when it is, there's usually enough forward movement to lock it again.

Cost was the primary reason why I didn't pick them - I realised with a shock how much the extra dollars that I was spending here and there on my build was adding up to.
