Default SuperPro Front Diff Bushes

Just bought myself a 2006 GC Limited CRD. Seems to be pretty good but will be giving it a good check over today and suspect the front diff bushes will need to be done.

Did a search and a few mentions of the SuperPro but most recommending the Jeeperf bush kit.

Wondering if anyone has actually installed the SuperPro bushes and how did they find them?

Will be much quicker to get the SuperPro's here in Sydney and looks like easier to install and a fair bit cheaper. If needed want to get them asap so I can install next weekend.

Top bush above the drive shaft is cactus! I figure this is the difficult one to replace

The other two look OK, engine and tranny mounts OK. Everything else under the front looks to be OK just this one diff bush and it's rooted lol.

Disconnect drive shaft.
Use some ratchet straps to support the front diff.
Unbolt the diff and let it rotate down.
Very easy to access the bush, but a pig to get out.
I’ve got some pics on my Thinking of getting the Daughter a WH thread.
We have done two now.

Cheers,

hi
Have fitted them they are only the 2 press in ones. The superpro are at least local.
The jeeperf ones I believe do not fit as easily but I may be wrong. AM in the process of fitting the engine so can not tell you how well they work. They have slots or whatever so they will take out the vibration transfer of other types of the poly bushes. There are a number of other makers around the world also.
Easy to fit new ones getting the old ones out is relatively easy.
The trick is drill out the rubber then you can bend the metal casing in with a chisel and you can press / pull or punch out the shells. This work really well on most of these bushes and it is quick and easy. Have used this on other bushes, and thread rods to install.
Cheers

Replaced my JeePerf with SuperPro.
SuperPro are 100 times easier to fit. JeePerf lasted about 4 years and the cost was not cheap and now more pricy.

Go SuperPro, fitting is easy and price is about a third.

Well this job sucks! Gave up on the idea of doing it with the diff in and glad I did, as it didn't actually take long to get the diff out, and it would have been 100 times more cursing trying to do it laying on my back under the car on stands!!

After a lot of effort managed to get the old shells out. But trying to get the SuperPro bushes in has been a PITA! I have a G Clamp press thingy that I used to do my WJ front bushes (without removing the diff) and it worked a treat for them. But for WH the bush just doesn't want to go all the way through. I'm pressing it hard up against the housing on the side it's going in from, but it just won't pop through on the other side!!

Normally when I've used poly bushes I've greased every surface that is touching metal, even though most say not to grease where they go into the housing, only grease the inner steel parts. But for these I didn't do this, decided to stick with the instructions that only said to grease the inner part of the bush, so I'm pressing these into the housing dry. I suspect if I had greased them they would have gone straight in.

Anyone else who's installed these, did you grease the housing before pressing them in?

Thinking I might press them out slightly tomorrow and grease the housing and try again. Bloody things just don't want to pop all the way through...
