A friend with a 4.7 WH over in WA has an ARB rear locker, and just recently sourced the front end parts from a QDII and set it up with a manual controlled switch.

Buying advice appreciated for WH
With the later model WH (08,09,10), if they have quadra drive ll, do they still show the badge bottom of the shifter?

Don't know but best way to check is the rear diff cover.
Round - 10 bolt Quadra Trac ↓
Oval - 12 bolt Quadra Drive ↓

Theoretically possible, especially if someone removed the badge or swapped in a shifter surround, and that could mean the badge is there but it isn't actually a QDII.
As I understand it, from 2008 onwards QDII became an option with the CRD, so it is very possible it doesn't have QDII.
As Clarky said, best bet is to check the diff.
