Default Help, What is this??

Hi everyone,

Just wonder what this is?
It's out of a 95 xj when you turn the lights on it buzzes, the lights will also go out and you can hear the buzz as well,
All the lights work fine wit it Un plug, but just want to know what it is and what it does??

From NAXJA
A Quick search on the shows p/n 56000636 was superceeded by 56009324 and is a headlamp delay module. Probably to keep the just the headlights on ( not marker lights) for a couple minutes after you turn the car off and then switch off the headlights ( so you can find your way to the house in the dark.

that annoying buzzer is a warning buzzer telling you you have left the lights on , it also tells you if you leave the keys in while the door is open , it is also the most annoying screaming sound ever heard out of a buzzer . the lights out bit is a way so you don't flatten the battery by leaving them on when you jump out , try turning the key and these things stop , try covering the sounder with cloth and tape so it doesn't sound like a annoying electric insect

Thanks layback, we have left it out.

No it's not that buzzing noise. It relay buzz noise then the lights to out for 5 seconds, we have swapped both relays and they still go out, thinking it's the head lights switch. Maybe

It's kinda hard too see while driving in the dark.

Sounds like a circuit breaker activating.
I don't know what the headlights use for circuit protection but that's what it sounds like.
