Does anyone have an opinion on the where and what of wiper blades. Mine have just about had it.

Should I just go to Repco for a replacement or are their other options???

Where? - I find the windscreen is the best place for them.
What? - the long black rubber ones seem to be the most common.
If they are worn out I think replacing them is a good option.
Just the sort of help you were after hey? ;)
