So the receiver is not a plug in device, its permanently installed? If so then yes, it will be constantly draining on the battery, but by how much will not be known unless measured or stated by the manufacturer.
My wireless remote receiver is a seperate device that plugs into the same port the normal hand controller plugs into. So its not 'installed' when not required.
That said, I would still recommend a cutoff switch near the battery. Just nice to know there is no power going to it.
