Default Engine swap

Hi guys,
Wondering what is involved with swapping out a 3.8 petrol engine (manual) for a
2.8 turbo Diesel engine (possibly auto).
Has anyone done this and is it a fairly straight forward job ?
Thanks

Yes everything would "fit" but there are a VERY VERY large number of things that would need to be swapped over.

So if by "straightforward" you mean quick and cheap then no.

If you want a diesel.... just buy one.

Cheaper and easier to sell and buy what you want, personaly if I where to have another JK it would be a 3.6 or I would swap a Hemi or LS in to the one you have, I'd never waste my time with a 2.8 again.

Jeep did one very early in the JK life, it was silver from memory and they had it at SEMA.

Any idea what one might expect to pay for that kind of madness?
