More to the point its not the correct coolant type..... the JK uses Type 2 coolant which is a red/orange color, Type 1 is green.

Whether that contributed to the leak.... who knows but seems a good idea to use the specified coolant type. Its readily available, no need to buy Mopar and get ripped.

MM, so as long as I use the red stuff which I can buy at SCA, Nulon, all good??? Does one flush then fill the radiator with concentrate, and let it mix itself with the pure water in the block???

Not quite mate colour means squat it is most certainly type two coolant.

Sorry not to come off negative mate, I well and truly did my research when it came to fluids.

Just sounds like a shot bearing with fluid coming out of the weep hole, im dam happy the noise is not ps pump.

P/S Pump is a hell of a lot easier & cheaper than the waterpump lol

Surely not finding a ps pump must be hard enough to begin with let alone replacing it, swapping water pump is simple but I have no idea what the unit costs.

Pspumps are $150 landed from quadratic or cheaper from rock auto.
