Default Eliminating flashing swaybar dash alert - Rubicon

So I flooded my swaybar motor as is common with these POS. have decided Id rather just get an EVO manual disconnect or something, however I want to get rid of the flashing dash light.

Is there any way to remove it from flashing on the dash? I have a Superchips piggyback unit, but there doesnt seem to be an option to stop dash warning lights.

Thanks

I know the Procal does, so it is possible.

Rather than spend big bucks, rip the electric out and install a manual conversion, DBOR has just designed one, as well as others out there I cant think of off the top of my head.

Procal can do it, stealer also... but they are probably to stupid to realize it.
DBOR have a manual operator for the bar as do other suppliers so don't even think about buying stealer crap.

Shame we all have had to do this.... but its still WAY BETTER than fighting with removable links so the Rubi bar isn't a complete loss.

Its also worth cleaning and grease the mechanical clutch housing, it also fills with crud and bind up. Not a big job and well worth the extra effort. There's nothing complex inside.... but i'll lay money that its full of water/crud as well.

Same thing happened to me, swapped it out for an Evo one which is great and takes about 20secs to activate. I was planning on getting the procal however over time ive gotten used to the light and now dont even notice it..

Sorry to highjack this post. I haven't had a problem with mine yet and from what I've gathered it's probably just a matter of time before I do! Is it at all possible to seal the unit and hence prevent the ingress of water, mud, etc.

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/o...study-1135688/

Looking at the pictures in the link above, it appears that the circuit board and electric motor are only as good as the gaskets and seals within the unit itself. Since it's located way below the fording depth, it seems odd that it isn't waterproof.

The DBOR system looks simple and reliable. The OEM unit on the other hand seems way too complicated for what it's meant to do.

You could prolong its life by taking it apart, making sure its absolutely dry and then giving the circuit board a heavy coat of PSB varnish.
The motor is also vulnerable to corrosion so a dielectric grease layer wouldn't hurt.
Disassemble the clutch housing and fii it with grease as well.

Frankly its just a delaying tactic.... its going to fail eventually just get it over with now and save a lot of messy / complex disassembly.

Thanks for that MightyMouse. It makes sense. Looks like the manual conversion is the way to go when my warranty expires...
