Default Anyone using MT / Rs?

Am finally getting the new wheels and tyres in the next week or so (hopefully week, am just about old waiting!!!). Was set on the KM2s and was very happy with that decision. But the option for Goodyear MT/Rs for the same / similar price has come up...

So the question is - who has the MT/Rs and how do you rate them?

Thanks in advance guys.

The KM2s have a more aggressive tread and will perform better in muddy conditions but will have more road noise once they weat a bit.

Mate runs MTR's on his pootrol and they seem to work very well and he certainly swears by them

Hear mtrs are also heaps heavier and side walls much stronger.
ive been looking as well. Started with km2 and now I am leaning towards nitto trail grappler or mtr as well

I am running the Goodyear MTR and find them worth ever cent in the traction they give in all the bad terrain I have found. On mud clay hill climbs, I've been able to drive up usually first go, where others have had to take many runs on their rev limiter. On sand I generally run them at 14psi with no problems in soft sand. On road they are only about 10% louder and give just as good grip as the ATs OEM. The MTR are also true in size, unlike some of the other brands.

Thanks guys. Good feedback, especially Rubicon Rat. Unless I am missing something compelling I am starting to lean that way... Any other thoughts?

You could ask CRDStu, he runs them in a 35.

That's on a 4dr jk.
