Default Rubicon induced sadness....

It saddens me to see completely stock Rubicons out and about, and it's only made worse when they have low profile tires and chrome galore.

Why spend the extra money for a vehicle which will never see a decent track? Rubicon decals are a cheaper option...

How do you know their not just Rubicon decals?

Speaking of which, I was thinking of replacing my "RUBICON" decals with "BISTROMATH" ones. Is it easy enough to do? And if I ever want to sell the car is it easy enough to put Rubicon decals back on again?

They have Rubicon style rock rails (which is still no guarantee)

Oh! LOVE the Bistromath concept...go for it!. Pixel Decals should be able to do you a custom job.

95% of newer 4wds you see out and about don't ever meet a trail.
Most people buy new Discos, Prados, Rangies, Patrols for the dream that one day they may need to get dirty.
(Jeep Wranglers are a notable exception, with 60% reported to go offroad, and 80% of Rubi drivers)

Older cars are much more likely to see a trail, therefore the more capable out of the factory models attract better resale, especially unmodded examples.

As an example a guy in my office bought a prado for $66K with heaps of kit and he's kept it pristine. Its now 3.5 years old and he has just been offered $49K as a trade on the new model.

It still makes me sad though

The trade-in was offered by a dealer?
