No shortcuts here RB, if you want that answered, you'll have to do the hard yards like all of us, and read through all the rubish haha

As the Taurus fan mounts in a similar fashion to the 16" fan mod how come there a no attacks on this mod???

I've had a completely stock setup, a cheap eBay 16" fan replacing the stock belt driven fan and now a Taurus to replace that.
The slim, "high watt" eBay cheapie fan blade fell off and the motor burnt out after about 18 months.
If you want to go electric for its advantages then your setup needs to flow at least more air than your stock setup to be worth it. And from my experience, the Taurus is by far the best value way to do it - reliably. So long as the rest of your system is up to scratch.

Seems like your old fan and mine are somewhat different....

I've only seen it mounted with the Taurus shroud. Maybe "Rainman" or "Marcus" can elaborate?

Yes but my point is that like the 16" fan mod the Taurus fan is also a lot bigger then the radiator and as such a lot of the fan is below the bottom of the radiator and as we're all now painfully aware of this is BAD!!!! (even if it does work)

OK. I get it but some people use that area below the radiator like "go jeep" to mount a trans cooler there.
