Yep. Another good argument for installing an external battery isolator.
I had the same thing happen to a prime mover years ago.
Sometime during the night the starter decided to engage.
Arrived at the premises the next morning to find it impaled through the wall of the building next door with a burnt out starter and cables.
We tended to put more blame on the brake condition at the rear axle ( single drive ) than the electrical system though.
No hope with a JK park brake. (Sorry, had to bring that up.
)
