I had this too, replaced the fuel filter and looked for water and there was none. I replaced the sensor and all is good since then.

I drained my filter off into a jar, no water even after sitting for ages, did this a couple of times, so assume the sensor might be at fault, see how things go after next service when I swap filters. Had a funny sound last trip, thought it might be a idler pulley but dropped the belt and all are running very freely thank god. So put it down to roof racks.

I've got dual filters on mine and have never seen a drop of water in either of the traps even after filling up in outback fuel outlets.

What type of sound?

when my light kept coming on, I removed the plastic spring like centre of the plug, so it would seat home better, and it never came on again.
with the idler pulleys I removed the seals and regrease them, they can get very dry, and put the seals back

Mine will soon have extra filter fitted, as I pack it each time I have to pull the damn fuel line off in case it breaks, next service replace filter and add a new CAV job, cheaper and easier in the long run.
Had a quick attempt to get one of the pulleys off but it didn't want to play, Jeep is used daily ATM so didn't want to stuff anything.
It is a T40 bit thats needed ???
Only had a short bar on it will use a big bugger next time, would prefer a decent bolt head not these damn torx jobs, going to get a spare one smooth & ribbed to put in the spares box anyway, over 200,000k on her now so have a few bits on the shelf to make life easier.
Going to win the Denco Diesel comp, $2500 of diesel bits, yes please.

Yeah I had a bit of trouble with some of those pulley bolts when I replaced all mine. Especially the one under the vacuum pump. It stripped the drive so I had to cut the pulley out to get it out. Couple of them are a real pain with the fan still in place.

Did you put the infil strips in the underside of your roof racks. Mine whistled like a bastard until I did that.

Yep, have the infil strips in place and it's usually quiet but I did have my beach rods up there so must have been them making the noise every so often.
Sounds like it could be a shit job on those pulleys so will have a spare in the cupboard and leave well enough alone until I have to get a spanner out, no use looking for trouble.
