I've heard of people using the primer bulbs from boat fuel lines. Cheap and apparently work very well. Only thing would be to be sure they have enough flow rate for the CRD. Unless you are talking electric pump. I have a Carter sitting on the shelf I never used on the Cruiser and it would fit nicely up under the back near the fuel cooler.

I need to tackle that stupid primer valve maybe this weekend, I've never had success with it so far so fingers crossed. It really feels seized and I've never been game to push the point.

My shed - 30x60 plus a 20x20 coolroom, and still can't swing the cat. (sure, I hear you say - "That's because you've got 20 acres!". But....)

I heard a wise man say once, 'He who dies with the most toys wins', but then there's always the counter - 'Have you ever seen a hearse with a towbar?', which might be more appropriate here.

Call me cynical, but I just can't get enough flags.......

Anytime you want to head west drover, Mi casa Su casa.

Just PM me

If I put a shed that big up it would have to be way down the back where it's flat and I would never get home, lol, lol, problems with living on a hill, 5 acres is big enough. Planning on being over the west next year hopefully unless my run of rotten luck keeps going. Solar hot water system has now packed it in, 5 mths into retirement and things keep breaking stopping me from going fishing and to the beach. aarrgghh.

Uncle and I have the same theory on the right shed. Don't need a big block, 1 acre would do. TTrick is to put each corner post of the shed on a corner of the boundary.

I'm feeling real sorry for you just now Ian as I read this on my lunch break.

And so you should Gavin !!!!!
Hot Water bloke replaced my dodgy pump on solar hot water system but still couldn't get it to work properly , so today I got my plumbing box out and to cut it short "I fixed the bloody thing" , I sat back and thought I can fix my Jeep a Solar system should be a Piece of Piss , and it was.
I'm feeling chuffed, Hot Water FIXED, Jeep FIXED, Van repairs sorted, I'm on a roll I even got my Honda Brushcutter working again Now Thats A Victory.
My shed at the moment is 9 x 12, I forgot the extra bit I put on but soon will add on a 12 x 6 addition to cover the ramps and fill with more junk probably, have nearly scrounged enough material for the build.

Some of the lager outboards would consume more fuel than the CRD I would expect, the only concern I'd have is are they compatible with Diesel.

I've now got a 2 Micron Raycor (150L per hour) fuel filter with a primer pump on it. My filter sits right under the fuel filler, so far 10,000km of dirt roads and I haven't had a problem.

AAAaaarrrggghhhh, bloody hand brake cable just snapped, ggrrr, I hate pulling apart console plastic crap. Will order new one from Rockauto, freight $50, has a $15 cable or a $35 one, got nearly 100,000k out of the last one so $35 job it is. Jury rig hand brake till I get new one, reverse cable put hook on handle and use a cable clamp on the broken end which will fit under the back seat.

Hey SMBCJ a 20x20 coldroom !!!!!! thats a lot of beer...mmmmmmmm
