Being a WA vehicle I suspect it was used in a kidnapping where the victim managed to chew their way to freedom. Is Wolf Creek anywhere nearby? 😂

Looks like a country car, so anything is possible

Maybe a good price for the seller a bit 'rich' for the buyer IMO.

What do you reckon he should offer?

Hi
Sorry if a dumb question but are cars prone to rust in your part of Oz? WH Jeeps can be rust buckets so check underneath.

Look hard for oil leak around bell housing as oil cooler leaks are a problem.

Does 4 low engage ok? There were well documented issues.

Any cluncking going from drive to reverse. Could be front diff bushings.

Check for tranny leaks at the electrical plug.

A good code reader is the appcar.

I will add things to look for as I think of them.

Brit.

I know this may offend some forum members but it isn't my intention. I don't think a 16 year old car with over 250K on the odometer is not worth buying at any price. It will be a money pit. Just review the various threads on this forum of the expensive repairs that wg crd's seem to incur at this extended age. Pumps injectors,Trans conductor p plate, etc.
