Crankshaft Positioning Sensor. Right part?
Hey guys,
JKU 3.8L Manual - 2008.
On the trail yesterday, about 2 hours worth of light wheeling. Turned the engine off, took some photos, turned the key over and engine failed to start battery perfect, everything perfect, just quick flashing of all dash lights with no ignition. Waited not even sixty seconds, engine turned over.
Drove about an hour out of the trail back toward the city, pulled over for petrol, filled up, same thing happens, this time I put clutch in roll a little backwards and crank the engine over no worries. Few times I stop at lights, take off in first, or slowly go around a corner in second and the engine bucks, bit of throttle and we're ok.
Did some research online and convinced this is just an old Crankshaft Position Sensor that needs replacing.
Here's my question for you. There are limited numbers of this part available online, and for the life of me I can't find a 3.8l Manual Specific part, aside from the below.
Tridon Crank Angle Sensor TCAS203
Not too happy with aftermarket sensors, does anyone have a link to a geniune MOPAR, part?
Cheers,
