Looks as "pretty" as any bull bar, doesn't it!?
And will look a lot prettier than a Commander that has hit a kangaroo without a bar! That's the real definition of ugly! And that's nothing compared to the ugly mood you're in when stranded in the boondocks trying to call up Road Assist! And at $45k for a replacement CRD engine, having a pretty face has to come second to having a strong jaw!
Most of my 4Wd work is not at a 4WD park playing 4WD games!
4th crossing of the Simpson coming up in Sept this year. 6th trip up the Cape next year. Went across the Canning Stock Route last year. After 15 yrs living in the Isa, it's pointless taking any vehicle to these places, esp if needing to drive at night (and this is not always planned), without a solid bar at the front, IMHO.

No offence taken Flexytj! If the bar is ugly, then mine is going to look even uglier with side rails and side steps!

I imagine the bar manfacturer will work something out to send bars to those away from Bne.

Re the ATS lift kit, I think one issue is that Micfee found his suspension had dropped (drooped?) abut 25 mm from new. I'm hoping for at least 50 mm, preferably 75 mm above new values. I've taken all the measurements so will report back after the new suspension has been installed!

Sounds very interesting.
I know Micfee is planning to fabricate a swing out tyre carrier, so the fact that you've already done one may make that much easier. Did you do it yourself or get it made up?

Ok this thread is starting to get interesting now , Wanderer I would love to see pics when you have them .. I was only going to be in Brisbane for 3 days finding someone to make a Bullbar was low on the list of things to do anyway been here well over a week now and hopefully by Monday arvo I'll be starting to head in the general direction of home .....All has not been wasted spotlights only have to be mounted on bullbar wiring all fitted..Spent heaps at the 4x4 and camping show got some good ideas ....work will stop most of these ideas for the next 6 to 8 weeks but then the same as Wanderer rock sliders and rear tyre carrier , carrier must also have room for shovel, high lift jack and aerials, camp trailer is in the pipeline hahaha... Birdsville races end of August Burketown September Yahoo barra here we come.... OK forgot to mention that this bar does have the possibility to have a winch only problem is they will have to notch the channel on the front to make room for winch . I belive it would be good just concerned about weight.......IMHO.
