Default Best coils for smooth ride

Hi folks!

I'm new here - just bought a 2004 Jeep GC Overland. It's a nice car and a credit to its previous owner.

It has a 2" lift and Bilstein 5100 shocks plus General Grabber AT2 tyres in 265/65R17. It has also had all the bushes replaced.

The thing is it bounces around a lot more than I'm used to. I've dropped the tyre pressure to 26 lbs and it is a bit better but I'm thinking that unladen the existing springs are too high a rating.

Thought I'd replace the springs - what would be the best spring that still give a modest lift while giving a comfortable ride?

*OME 3.5 inch coils, try contacting Kolak via Jeepforum.com for these coils included in a kit (long arms, track bar, stabiliser)

What coils are in it now? Need to know that before going any further otherwise you might make it worse.

Bilstein 5100 shocks are a great shock (assuming they are in good working order). Cannot be purchased in Aust, so someone ahs brought them in from the US, but def one of the better shocks out there for a nice controlled ride.

I had Kings 2" springs (more like a 3"+ lift when compared to typical US lift heights) in my prev WJ. I would def buy them again.

What you mean by "bounce around". Sounds like shocks are shot.

If not that maybe look at spring isolator rubbers condition?

The shocks don't look very old and by all accounts haven't done many klms.

I don't know what springs are in there at the moment. Are they likely to have part numbers stamped on them? They are black in colour.

The bouncing around is hard to describe - rear end stear, large lateral movements, getting thrown around on a street that my Koleos barely acknowledges has bumps.

Sounds like rear upper bushes then.
