Default CJ6 Cage

Just starting to get back into my projects - and gettiong the CJ6 running is a high priority.
Now whilst the original bling alloy tube roll bar that was fitted LOOKS nice - the fact is it would offer bugger all protection. And whilst I;m not after comp level ROP, I'd like to have a bit safer since the wife wants to drive this rig and will also be carrying first born etc.....So it's a budget improvement.
So I'm been off shopping for 1¾" tube got 3.2mm wall and have about 24 meters of the stuff waiting for me to start bending, cutting & burning.

But the thing is I haven't finalised the design yet......so I;m kicking ideas around in my head. The requirements (loosely are):
a. Want at least 6point - front, middle & far rear (think family protection),
b. Got to be a minimum intrusion into the cab area (for good access),
c. Must allow fitting/removal of the CJ6 Hardtop (will proably not bother with a softop - but should keep that in mind too),
d. Mounts for seat belts - but no need to worry about harnesses.
e. At this stage will probably not tie it to the frame (although I might change my mind on this as it does add a lot of extra reinforcement for the chassis - but I;m also cautious about transmitting more back through it....and the extra work ...
f. Similarly I am not thinking of mounting the seats onto it because of the aaccess and also possible complications getting it fully blue slipped, engineered and road legit.

Anyhow at this stage I'm doodling out various designs, looking at lots of pics and trying to spot features I like, designs that look easier to make and that add strength.

So any suggestions, ideas, pics or thoughts???

A TJ style cage right?

The front hoop will be the a bit tricky to keep 'stock looking', but the cj6's screen is so vertical it might not look so bad.

Some inspiration:

Just got to make sure you keep the rear bars lower than the front (like a TJ cage, not like the one in the photo).

The other option is for three main hoops welded together. I have a feeling that will look a little bit too much like a landie troop carrier tho.

I have a six point cage on my cj5, I am going to make a new one because I need more protection for the back seat but mostely because the front hoop intrudes too much on leg room getting in and out of the jeep, the door gap is narrow enough with out a bar in the way, my next cage will have the front hoop bolt to the dash board similar to this photo instead of going to the floor, personally I don't think it will loose too much in strength.
