Centre Diff Lock
Centre Diff Lock refers to constant 4WD systems that proportion torque to the front or rear of the vehicle as required. Basically vehicle makes the decision for you on how best to split the torque front to rear - centre diff lock allows you to overide this and distribute 50% torque to both front and rear diffs. Wrangler has a transfer case that is either 4WD with 50% torque locked to front and rear or 100% to rear in 2WD. Diff locks (detroits, ARBs etc) allow you to lock distribution of torque between left and right axles and opererate independently of the transfer case/centre diff lock.
