you get used to it not having a footrest, like anything i guess. I also have a SSV and this has a footrest and i do alot of country trips and i find i dont use all that often anyway

Many thanks everyone for sound advice which I have taken on board as you read on...after much test driving today I purchased a 2 door Wrangler manual sport in petrol (diesel not avail) and I am stoked! I pick it up next week and I can't to get amognst it! With the seat raised to its highest position, and with the seat pushed back as far as it can be I am able to bend the kness and have the left leg almost 90 degress straight flat to the floor when not engaged with the clutch and this is in the sweet spot!
