If you are reffering to the LPG tanks if the rear tub in the boot area is removed the tanks don't hang any lower than the factory tow bar, and also LPG tanks get big skid plates.
2 of the guys i go 4wding with have LPG tanks behind the rear axle. Yes they hang down alot more than the petrol tanks but they rarely get stuck on them due to the shape and also the tanks are bloody strong. Neither has been dented to my knowledge. They don't have bash plates either just skid plates which are very thin steel and yes these get severely mangled but seem to do the job of stop the tank from being gouged and subsequently rusting.

Removed the muffler and pointed the tailpipe out the side so not to melt the rock tamers.

when you remove the back muffler do you have to put another muffler in before the back diff,or what reduces the noise?

The rear muffler is only bolted to the rest of the exhaust, you could take it off yourself in 20 minutes or so you could hear it for yourself.

I'm running a 3" system straight through, dump pipe, no mufflers or cat. Barely made any difference to the noise levels.

PS: I'm fitting a cat this weekend!.
