What are you paying for fedex to get them out here? I have been looking at places that do free freight within the US, then get them to send to somewhere like USAtoAUS.com, they charge $35 per tyre and send them to closest major port (Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and I think Fremantle). Only downside of course is I have to go collect them and they take 6 to 9 weeks to get here. Contemplating rims and tyres, if fitted they are still only $35 as it goes on how much space they take up in the container.

Seacomms, I have used USAtoAUS and I can recommend their service. Yes it does take ages (6 weeks is optimistic) but it's worth the saving if you plan ahead.

I mean if you can see that there's only 6 months worth of tread left then you can start to make arrangements. Why wait until there's no tread left and then pay a fortune for express delivery?

Default UHF Mic mount

So... I ordered this after a few (too many) drinks and put it in this arvo after a couple under the belt...

The gentle persuaders needed to be brought out to get the re-bending part done - one of the pics shows how the bit - as from the supplier - locks up on the air vent - ended up just staying with the wooden mallet for it as I really couldn't be bothered with all the gentle tapping that the nylon head hammer required :P

The scanguage was added last week after the SJC toolbox day - took the dash off and still couldn't figure out how to get the cable up through the back - then looked online and hey presto - some smarty put up a response (somewhere - cant remember where I saw it now) to take the side panel off and route the cable through there like I did with powering my UHF and all was good!

Am thinking of having a crack at the JKS disconnects tomorrow after a morning catch-up...

jks disco's take about 20 mins and a can to do. It is Much easier with a jack, just remove both the links, and use a jack to slightly lift up car via the axle to fit the disco's

Bought some new LED indicators for the ARB bar to replace those stupid bloody stock ones that fill up with mud. Will take the opportunity to remove all the relay wiring as well and just run them directly paralleled across the grill indicators.

For anyone interested and who doesnt look at the Vendor Special pages very often like me, Victor has them on special at the moment for $55 a set! http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...55#post1372855
