I am soon to be buying a late model Grand Cherokee, wondering if there is any difference between 2015 & 2016 models or are they all 2015's, and is the 2017 any different?
I know that vehicles registered after Feb 2017 have a 5 year warranty, but there were still 2015 models for sale at the time.
Is it worth paying extra for a '2017' model over an earlier built car?

Was that supplied by the dealer, or purchased aftermarket ?

It was part of the package when I bought the car. Only thing is that you have to take it back to the dealer for servicing, which I didn't, so in fact I ended up with a 3 year warranty.

Cheers, Craig

Thanks, Craig.
Trouble with a lot of extended warranties is the conditions that you have to comply with. Not sure about the latest 5 year factory warranty what the conditions are.
Getting back to my original question, is there any difference between 2015 and 2016 models? Was there actually such a thing as a 2016 model? Are they all '2015' models up to 2017?

I have a my17 GC Trailhawk and it come with a “factory” 5 years warranty. Pretty sure that means I can service it anywhere. Often dealers offer extended warranties but attach conditions, like servicing at the dealership. The catch with mine is if I want the lifetime “roadside assist” I must service it every time at the dealership.

The 2016 anniversary models came with the revised gear selector and updates to the front grille. 2015 and other 2016 had the older style and 2017 in all models have the updates. Some good deals on 2015 laredo diesels at the moment on carsales with 5 year factory warranties.
