Default How to remov LH Cargo area trim

Hi all - can someone give me some advice on how to remove the LH plastic cargo trim to access the wiring for the trailer connections (according to other posts I have read the wires for the electric brake controller should be there - blue wire for electric brakes and red wire for signal power for the controller)

Thanks

You need to remove everything.

The spare tyre cargo lid, spare wheel, surrounding trims of the spare wheel, Partial rubber door seal, then everything will pop off on those 2-3 sections. You will need to fold the 2nd row seats so you can gain better access as well. Remove the upper trims etc.

Yes, there is a blue cable hanging there IF you do not have a brake controller in place. This goes to the 7pin connector for your trailer plug. Ensure that wire is already plumed in at the outside connector as well.

Most will bring that blue wire forward into the front cabin and mount the brake controller near by the driver. Otherwise if you have a Redarc with a remote controller dial, you can mount it at the back, and just mount the remote dial near the driver somewhere.

I managed to get to mine without even removing the trim, just the little pop out tub on the lhs. I ran the wire down through this then towards the front and grabbed it from behind the rear seat to pull it the rest of the way, and then connected to the plug in the cavity.
