Question Best 4WD Parks in SE QLD

Apols in advance if this topic has been thrashed around in here a hundred times, but I was wondering which 4WD park within 2 hours of Brisbane you'd recommend for a relative newbie Jeep owner such as myself?

Ideally I'm wanting to spend a weekend there and camp overnight. I've had a search on Google and found Land Cruiser Mountain Park which looks like a great camping spot, but perhaps a bit flat and dusty from the photos.

Is that the case, or are there other/better parks in the area to visit?

Why don't you check out one of the Jeep Clubs.

Best way to learn, lots of good people too.

Hmmm Cityview (www.cityview4x4park.com) and The Springs (www.thesprings4x4.com.au) looks good too. Has anyone been to these?

OzJeepGrl, I went to The Springs 4x4 Park after Christmas with the Brisbane Jeep Club (BJC) as a newbie to Jeeps and it was an awesome park with creek crossings, hill climbs, waterfalls, rocks, mud and driving down creeks that were as deep as your Jeep, with about a foot of water in them... It also has a camp site with toilets etc. If you want some photos, PM me your email address and I'll zip them up and send them to you.....

This is me coming down a steep waterfall, the camera angle doesn't do it justice....

yeah been to all of those parks that you are talking about and each are good in there own way...i'd say most will be nice and green now after all the rain about.

and none of them are to flat..but the better 2 would be LCMP and the Springs as far as camping but i haver not been to cityveiw for awhile so that may have changed..
