Default best catch can for 2.7?

Been searching a few threads on fitting catch cans.

I've been looking on line and there doesn't seem a made to measure one for WJ as most universal cans seem to have much smaller hose fittings and I understand the WJ is 20mm and 25mm?

I'm no Mcgyver and would prefer something easy that comes more or less off the shelf.

Just wondering if anyone has anything that fits the bill without too much fiddling and plumbing?

Many thanks.

It already has one on the valve cover, why install a second one?

Hi Adrian, you mean the oil separator/pcv? That just redirects the blow by vapours/gas/gunk into the intake side via the turbo.

As far as I know (and what it's name implies) it's purpose is to condense the oil vapor. They age and begin to leak, it's a pretty cheap item from the dealership.

I pulled mine apart and cleaned it out. It had several hundred thousand kilometres worth of sludge in it.

It's an easy job for a lazy afternoon.

Adrian and Jean, I have replaced the PCV and yes it's an easy job. But that's not a catch can. If you have a few minutes take a look at this, explains it fairly well:

These guys do a kit for the WK2 diesel with similar size hose fittings

McGyver skills would probably be required to fit this kit to a WJ

Cheers
