Default Having trouble finding a bonnet scoop

If its for air you could get some of the universal slotted panels on eBay and just cut holes for them?

I'm after more air, at least until I get a snorkel. I've heard a few bad things about having a reverse cowl. Like the hot air can heat up your windscreen and paint on upper bonnet etc.

I just figured bonnet scoop would give more airflow than a reverse cowl. I understand the cowl created a vacuum under the bonnet and sucks more air in, but I would think i would have to be traveling fast for that to happen and while 4wding I'm not really going fast.

it's the same problem, not going fast enough for force air out with a reverse scoop means you aren't going fast enough to force air in with a forward facing one.

paint on your upper bonnet is not going to get hot enough to have cause a problem (if there wasn't one before)
a hotter windscreen rocks in winter and you won't notice it in summer
a heap of slotted vents works a treat for letting air out, hot air rises and your radiator fan does a good job of sucking a lot of it in

If you don't want to get fancy with an AEV Hood (like mine ) or poison spyder louvers (like many others), then you can just use some generic louvers and cut some holes in your hood.

I flushed the coolant system, ensured the radiator was not full of mud, replaced the thermostat to a hi-flow unit (same opening temp as factory) and have the factory fan that's always on (no thermo viscous clutch), and I run at about 88-90C all the time which is actually a little low.
