JeanLukes pic of the engine ecu plug differs from mine:

My '04 2.7 CRD ecu plug looks like this:

The plug is much shorter than JeanLukes (is his the 3.1 diesel ?)

Which is pin '76' for the wastegate solenoid ?

I've got power to the solenoid but I want to test the resistence.

There should be two plugs on the ECU.

After swapping the WG solenoid with the EGR and also with a friends WG I decided a new solenoid was in order.

This seemed to fix the issue however, it's reared its head again. The EML would come on intermittantly and now it's on permanently.

Don't seem to have power to the solenoid.Where does the 12v power line run from ? Is it accessible ?

I've had a couple if issues on the GC where there must be a break in the line. Putting a new line in cured both cases. Is this what I need to do here ?

Scrap that, I do have power to Pin 1 (ASD)

Pin 76 ECM to Pin 2 solenoid is 33k ohms so open circuit.

Wiring diagram shows 3 connections between the ECM and the WG solenoid.

The EML is out again.

It seems to cure itself if I do a run long enough to build up some heat in the engine bay.

I need to find where these connectors are and open them up for inspection.

Can anybody tell me where they are ?

At one point I had P0243 issues because the MAP connector was poorly seated. All I had to do is push it in a bit more firmly.
