Don't forget that everything in the diff that is designed to run immersed in oil for lubrication will have suffered damage and due to the heat build of of running at highway speed the housing itself may well and truly be damaged

I think they better replace your entire diff with a dana 60, to save themsevles from this going public... That would be exceptable compensation for such a stuff up.

Just heard back from the manager of the shop invloved
They are replacing everything, locker, gears, bearings etc, and 50% of the installation costs so I can get them installed somewhere else if uncomfortable with them doing it.
They will endeavour to have the parts in by this Saturday for me
Cant ask for more than that.
Am so glad it isn't going to turn into a long drawn out battle!

Nice result!

I'd get them to do it, you can bet they'll pay attention to this install, and it saves you having to fork out for part of an install.

They fucked up but at least they are doing the right thing.
