did you end up mounting the high lift jack on the spare wheel carrier?

nah i ended up removing the carrier becuase i fitted extended shackles and the suport was in the way

so i sold it and the spare is back on the roof

...sounds like the same issue someone else in the forum had with this carrier.
I was looking at buying it from him, he's asking $400, I just did a 3" lift with polyairs so I don't know if extended shackles will be an issue for me.

In your opinion, is it worth getting this brand of carrier?

it was a great carrier, and would still be there if i did not want more lift

Agreed, I only sold mine as I was making a new bar and thought I'd make a carrier as well.

Sorry to change the subject but im looking at getting a roof cage, where abouts did you get yours from? Is it a supercheap auto one?

I was a little worried getting one because the xj roof racks are a bow shape and not flat so i thought there might be some problems.

yeah it is a super cheap one

and has been on for about 6 or more months

never had a problem with it or the fact the rails are bow shaped
