Ran the jeep and everything is good apart from the rear bushes squeaking like a mad house.

Thinking of selling it and buying a post update and start a new project.

Another D30 prob. I fitted the rebuilt D30 a few days ago. Well I managed to pinch the left seal . Now I need to take it back and half dismantle the diff so I can get a new seal fitted . I can not believe this happened; I have pulled those shafts like three times before and never had an issue. Hopefully it won't take him too long I am sick of forking out cash on the Jeep ATM......

Regards A

Just elonagated the rear right CA mount about 4mm. Seems to have improved the location of the bump stop a little. I am thinking of going another 4mm and adding four more shims. I just need two more though. I reckon that will get it just slightly forward which will mean on full flex it should end up somewhre close to the centre of the diff, or slightly rearward. Only thing is the wheels front to back will about 6-7mm further on the passenger side. Not sure if that will be an issue or not. If anyone knows for sure feel free to let me know before I do the job.
On another note while doing the job I was using the onboard air system and have since buggard the compressor. The shaft snapped on the motor up near where it joins the piston rod . Time to look for another. I am thinking from now on I will have to limit the use of the on board air system to times of offroading and roadside repairs as the compressor is clearly not design to fill air tanks to 115psi too often.
EDIT: Just bidded on an ebay one same as mine near enough $110 if I win it or if not he has the for $119 buy it now. I considered a twin piston model as I reckon the pressure on the shaft would be spread across two pistons and two ends. But without seeing the internals I wondered if the motor shafts were smaller in diameter, hence not really solving the issue.

Regards A
