very nice with the tyre vibes my mates GF has a surf with 32"s that is majorly feathered and she also has vibes at 20-40 and around 100. we have tried rotating but really she needs to replace them. hope this helps..the only other suggestion i would have would be to borrow some tyres the same size and see if the you can replicate the issue. if not then you know if the tyres.
Pretty certain it's the tyres but good idea might try to borrow some to confirm the theory.

i totally agree with you but i would hate for it to be a uni/wheel bearing or something else on its way out and then you're stuck on the side of the road
Checked all fluids today general check over. Found a cracked manifold hose which when i pulled it off whilst it was idling it hunted like a lumpy as v8.
