measuring up for a SYE
now that i've sorted out the 4 (to 5 in reality) inch lift kit on the TJ and have fixed some little problems with bits fouling on other bits.
I'm going for a heavy duty AA SYE and tom woods double carden drive shaft. complete kit for $525 American. I have measured the length as per the instrunctions on their web page (also in the mag i have infront of me.) now i have to sort out the attachments at either ends.
But to be sure that i don't order the wrong thing:
Q1. Did all RHD TJ's entering australia come with a spicer or detroil / saginaw yokes? cause theres alot of measurements and i'm someone else has measured them and knows. Hope this makes sence.
Q2. Any remomentation in measuring, anything which you think should know.
Secondly: Yes i understand many people feel strongly against not going to a jeep place and getting it all done drive in / drive out and keeping the aus. dollar in the country....blah, blah, blah
If this is you, keep it to yourself, cause I DO NOT WANT THIS THREAD TO BECOME ANOTHER ARGUMENT OF FOR OR AGAINST. it has happened before and it resolves nothing.
