Interesting ...
Considering all the corrugations on our dirt roads,
it could be a good idea to clamp the power lead
to lessen the vibrations entering the box.

I just read this and watched the video. I had a p0670 code discovered with my Scangauge2. I mostly copied the video but used a dremel copy from Aldi to open the case. Lo and behold the same mingy aluminium wires had broken in the same spot as the video. I used some scrap 2.5mm electrical wire as a donor for copper replacement wires. cleared the code with my scan guage and wunderbar no more codes. It cost me $12 for some fancy Dow Corning black silicon to reseal the case. A little better than a uk one for $255.88 delivered to Oz. That's a saving of $243.88 divided by two hours work equals $121.94 per hour grossed up to allow for 30 percent income tax thats $174.20 per hour equivalent. Not too shabby. The tools I used were a Dremel clone with a cutting disc a soldering station that cost me $35 a small file to remove the aluminium from the board tabs silicon and a bit of patience that cost me nothing. Not to mention the waste of the old ones going into landfill.

Did the one in my donor 09 WH worked like a charm.
I melted hole in one corner with my soldering iron & then used the soldering iron as a hot knife & cut out a square over the repair area.

Ground the connection points down with a dremel till the copper showed through & soldered scrap wire as the conductors.

Will fill with windscreen sealant to finish off.
