Its ceased ATM as the recoers are on leave until Mon 11th. Thinking of now just doing the head as I really CBF spending a lot more on it, when it may not really need it. I'm getting a mech to inspect the bores and feel the pistons. But I am fairly confident all the bottom end from below the head is ok. It wasn't burning any oil other than 300mls between oil changes which its supposed to anyway. AFAIK I didn't cook the engine. I only say that as didn't feel mega heat under the bonnet when she stopped and the oil wasn't steaming. I was actually able to pull the dip stick and wipe it off with my fingers and not get burnt when it did stop. One saving grace was that I no longer have the rad heat sink connected with the stock cooler. Because if I did I think I could fairly safely say I might as well ditch my 2k rebuilt trans. Its gonna be a while before its mobile again as I need a lot more than just a $400 valve grind and a plane. I need decent upper CA's new heater hoses and a decent rad, just to get it on the road and know it will be trouble free for a few months at least.
